에러문제 (TypeError: Cannot set properties of null (setting 'fillStyle'))

js강좌 마지막부분 간단한 2D게임 강좌중

var canvas = document.getElementById('canvas');
var ctx = canvas.getContext('2D');

canvas.width = window.innerWidth -100;
canvas.height = window.innerHeight -100;

ctx.fillStyle = 'green';
ctx.fillRect(10,10,100,100);

이렇게 코드를 작성했는데 아래와 같은 에러가나옵니다.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set properties of null (setting 'fillStyle')


이건 어떻게 해결해야할까요?
